Tip For changing singulars into plurals
1. If the singular ends in f/fe, plural is formed by changing f/fe into ves e.g.
Calf: Calves
Life: lives
Knife: Knives
Wife: Wives
2. If the singular ends in s, x, sh, ch, the plural is formed by the addition of es e.g.
Box: Boxes
Match: Matches
Dish: Dishes
3. If the singular ends in y and there is no vowel letter before y, the plural is formed by changing y into I and then add es in their end e.g.
City: Cities
Baby: Babies
Lady: Ladies
But only s is added to a word ending in y if this y comes after a vowel e.g.
Calf: Calves
Knife: Knives
Life: Lives
Calf: Calves
